We the people can no longer afford the
luxury of apathy. We must band together as concerned citizens to solve those
very difficult issues cast upon us by a long standing corrupt and nefarious
dealing government. Nor can we afford the luxury of having political
differences at a national level, we must cast our political ideals aside and
unit in an effort to save our democracy and restore pride, honor and dignity to
our government and society.
We must rid congress of the existing
hostile political environment and elect candidates who will run our government
in a prudent and efficient way. The farther we drive politics away from our
national government the more solvent and robust our nation will become.
The ideals of liberalism and the
progressive mindset of liberals that "our constitution is a living breathing
document that should change with time" has marched us right into quicksand. It
is time to regress and place those ideals at the discretion of individual
states.
Politics and political aspirations should
reside at the state level where people are free to navigate to the state of
their political choice. A free society should not be held hostage to national
politics and foolhardy behavior of any specific empowered political party.
When one empowered political party gains significant control of our government
the checks and balances of democracy are jeopardized and the risk of a
tyrannical government becomes a real possibility. When the leadership of such
an empowered party ignores the will of its population and governs without moral
principles and integrity it is only a matter of time before democracy is lost
forever. Like bullies in a school, the tyrannical leadership will strip its
population of their freedom to oppose and finally drive the population into
willing submission.
The tyrannical drive to pass the impending Health Care legislation is a strong
indication of what is to come. When leadership is shameless in its arrogant
deceit and openly defiant to the will of the population there are only a few
footsteps from democracy to tyranny.
Our national government should be
responsible for the safety and sovereignty of our nation as a whole rather than
the welfare of individual citizens in any one state. The nation as a whole can
no longer be the mediator of political differences between its citizenry. We
must not wait for the gradual changes effected by political change. We must, as
concerned citizens, act quickly to stop the spiraling decline of our freedom
and the potential destruction of our democracy. It will take acute
changes (shock and awe) by a new Congress comprised of people with
good values, honor, and dignity to deliver us from the destructive
path the career corrupt politicians have bestowed upon America.
We must not go down in defeat again by
the elements of evil and deception. We must inspire voter turnout by running
candidates with honorable intentions and guarantee voters those candidates are
sincere and have signed the
Pledge of Honorable Intentions.
We must NOT subscribe to candidates
who offer only stump speech spin and will not sign the Pledge of Honorable
Intentions. We must eliminate the typical crap shoot at the voting booths,
never knowing the real intentions of those we elect.
The Pledge of Honorable Intentions is not
the be all, end all, for confirming the perfect candidate, but it is a strong
indication (litmus test) the candidate's heart is in the right place and will
act in America's best interest while serving in congress.
Every candidate in all 435 congressional
districts should be presented with the opportunity to sign the pledge.
Senatorial candidates should also be given the same opportunity. Those who sign
the pledge should be well known by the voting public, and more importantly
those who refuse to sign the pledge should also be well known. Before the 2010
election takes place every voter should know the true intentions of the
candidates.
The Tea Parties have gained a national
presence. They are in an excellent position to present the candidates in all
435 congressional districts the opportunity to sign the pledge. They are in an
excellent position to inform the voting public of the candidate’s willingness
to sign the pledge.
The Tea Parties are in an excellent
position to clean up the corruption in congress by providing guidance to the
American voter before he/she votes.
