We are now a lawless, financially bankrupt, morally deficient, drug infested, apathetic society being invaded by illegal aliens, and under the rule of a corrupt tyrannical government. For those of us with common sense and not muzzled by political correctness, this is The Real State of Our Union. Sad, but true.

When it comes to political savvy the average voter has little more knowledge than a head of cabbage in McGregor’s garden. Decade after decade the cabbage patch remains subservient to a corrupt political government. Election after election the cabbage patch wanders into the voting booths to elect the next wave of the wealthy corrupt career politicians who will foster that corrupt political government.

The party loyalists, in lock step, arrive at the voting booths to cast ballots for their party’s candidate. It matters not their candidate’s, integrity, honor or character. If the candidate can bring home pork, who cares about corruption and immorality? Well, who cares until the corruption, deceit, and arrogance goes too far and you find yourself being ruled by a socialist tyrant who bankrupts the nation, deprives its citizenry of their freedom and attempts to extinguish the last flicker of a free democracy.

Those of us who have lived long enough, have seen the gradual changes that have led to the expected demise of democracy and The Real State of Our Union. Those of you who were born during the demise, just do not know any different.

The 1967 Summer of Love social experiment gave rise to the wide spread use of illegal drugs and the hippie counterculture movement. This was truly the start of the demise. Our nation refused to make the hard decisions that would put down the drug infested counterculture movement; instead it adopted the politically liberal progressive method of rehabilitation. It wasn’t long before rehabilitation became the preferred corrective punishment for all types of criminal activities. The idea of rehabilitating criminals has also had the effect of lighter prison sentences for criminals of all types. The average time incarcerated for murder is now eight years. Think about it, human life in America is only worth eight years.

The late 1960’s was also the time when political correctness really started taking hold. By the mid 1970’s the unwritten laws of political correctness were being enforced with greater emphasis than our written criminal laws. Since the 1970’s the unwritten laws of political correctness have evolved into written hate speech laws that have banished certain books, suppressed freedom of speech, destroyed careers, and in some cases incarcerated offenders. It is possible to do more prison time for hate speech than for murder.

We have changed much of the English language to accommodate the politically correct. Illegal Aliens to Undocumented Workers, Merry Christmas to Happy Holiday, Negro to African American, Rape to Sexual Offense, Salesman to Salesperson etc., etc. Perhaps the greatest change to the politically correct English language that sums up The Real State of Our Union is the word Liar to Spinner. Hardly a day goes by that President Barrack Obama is not caught up in a verifiable lie, but the news media will just claim he was spinning. It’s not only Obama who tells outright lies, our most trusted government officials are continually lying and lying with shameless arrogance.

I’ll admit, sometimes it’s hard to distinguish whether they are deliberately lying or it’s just stupidity flowing out of their mouths. When it comes to the mental midget’s Uncle Harry and Aunt Nancy you just don’t know what will spew out of their mouth’s next. Will Aunt Nancy tell us she is eliminating all wasteful spending by renaming pork spending to government directed expenses. We she tell us the corruption of Charles Rangel was no threat to America’s security. I’m afraid Aunt Nancy is a case study for the depths of ignorance. Perhaps an example of brains fried on drugs?

The recent Obama Health Care Summit was a prime example of outright arrogant lying by our government officials. For example, Senator Harry Reid stated he never talked about or suggested he may use reconciliation to pass the ill fated Senate Health Care Bill, but as we all know, Uncle Harry was caught several times on video tape threatening to do just that.

Obama stood before the cabbage patch on eight separate occasions and promised if he was elected the health care legislation debates would be made transparent by having national television coverage. He lied, not a single minute of the debate was allowed to be broadcast, it was all done behind closed doors in partisan fashion. At the Health Care Summit Senator McCain reminded Obama of his promises, Obama’s response to McCain was “we are no longer campaigning”. Obviously, campaign promises to Obama are like when you beat someone at marbles and just as you were about to take their favorite marble the other kid hollered “we were playing for funzeez, not keepzeez”. When our Presidents and our government officials routinely lie to the citizenry there is little wonder why we have a lawless society.

The shake and bake policies of our government gave us the recipe for eventual disaster. The corrupt career politicians, political correctness, illegal drugs, illegal aliens, street gangs, affirmative action quotas, progressive liberal mindsets, accepted lawlessness, and the moral decay of society are all part of the ingredients that led to the shake and bake destruction of our democracy.

In my opinion the Democratic Party has become a corrupt evil institution that threatens American democracy. There is no other way to describe the shameless tyrannical evil shenanigans now being acted out in our democratically controlled congress.

In my opinion the Republican Party is plagued with stupidity and the good ole boy syndrome. Election after election they run candidates of unknown quantity. Their generic cries for a smaller prudent government that is constitutionally obedient rings hollow in the ears of many of their phony candidates who spew nebulous stump speech spin. Their stuck on stupid inability to come up with a method to “Trust, but Verify” the honorable intentions of their candidates speaks volumes. 

In my opinion Obama and his administration is knowingly and willingly creating an evil empire. The truth means absolutely nothing to Obama or the cronies he has decorated his administration with. Deceit, lying, cheating, and stealing is so common it has become widely accepted by the cabbage patch.

In my opinion the cabbage patch will continue to grow. The offspring of the patch is now under the direct influence of the drug infested hippie counterculture. The drug sucking progressive minded hippie dopes of the sixties are now controlling the education our children receive. Our once great industrial nation is now a nation of Hamburg flippers, perhaps the hippie driven education our children receive is all that’s required to use a spatula.

Have we gone too far? Will we ever see the light of a true democracy again? Will the Flag of China one day fly at our capital dome? Will the political correctness that has stabbed our democracy in the heart become a regretful part of our past history? Will society someday turn blind eyes and deaf ears to the corrupt deceitful propaganda pedaled by the mainstream news media? Will the cabbage patch finally realize the danger in political apathy, educate itself, and rid our government from corrupt career politicians? If there was ever a case for national political suicide, look no further than the American cabbage patch. Can and will our nation survive?

Perhaps the confluence of honorable Democrats and Republicans at the Tea Parties will save us. Wipe Out The Corruption - or Be Destroyed By It!
